Not every project needs to begin with large production. Often one functional part, adapter, measuring tool or test model is enough to validate an idea and avoid a more expensive mistake.
We work on projects such as speaker adapters, custom electronics and sensor enclosures, measuring tools, holders and other practical parts.
For this project the client supplied a finished STL for a 1997 Honda Del Sol speaker adapter. Bearhill Lab did not design or redesign the 3D model; our role was the final production of the functional part.
The adapter was produced in a material suited to elevated temperatures and the conditions inside an automotive door. Because the client supplied a usable STL, the work focused on production and selecting a material suitable for the intended environment.
This transition adapter connects a 150 mm ventilation duct to a 100 mm flexible hose. The transition geometry was designed to remain compact, rigid and straightforward to install.
The prototype verified the real fit on both diameters before any additional units were produced. This approach is useful when standard duct reducers do not fit the available space or connection method.
This project involved the development of a custom enclosure for an air quality sensor, designed around the actual electronics and the real internal component layout. The enclosure was built around the sensor’s electronics and actual internal component layout.
The enclosure was adapted for USB-C ports, a dedicated LED indicator position, and the required internal arrangement of the components. In addition to the base and lid, a translucent outer cover was also created to give the device a cleaner appearance while protecting the electronics. This type of enclosure work is available for prototypes, sensors and small-batch electronic devices.
